The Windy City Fire 18 U Girls Softball team have been enjoying the success that only certain dynasty teams experience.
The team coached by Orlando Cardona has been coaching most of the team members for many years and feels the team has a chance to accomplish something very special.

The goal is the Little League World Series and Coach Cardona knows that they may be one of the few teams coming of of Horner Park in the city of Chicago to have a legitimate shot for this.
Being on a roll that very few teams experience, some would wonder why Coach Cardona would attempt to mess with the synergy of the team by calling in a new hitting coach.
Unlike any other coach you might imagine, the coach still asked himself how can we get better (even right in the middle of the season)? The team has been 40 - 0 since last June of 2011 and even though they hit .315 as a team with stellar pitching and defense, he still doesn't think it is good enough for something as big as his goal for his team.
Coach Cabrera was right in a sense because if you study great hitting championship teams, their average batting average is over .330. Knowing he was probably taking a huge chance, Coach Cardona got a tip from Hall of Fame Legend and USA Softball Coach and UCLA 11 time National Championship coach Sue Enquist about Mike Huber.
Huber is a Team Hitting Specialist who is known for improving a teams batting and slugging percentage tremendously. Coach Enquist passed his name along because she believes that the greatest baseball swing and the greatest softball swing are much alike. Huber is one of three men on the planet recognized by the greatest hitter of all time, Ted Williams; and Enquist uses a similar approach with her teams.
Coach Cabrera saw the potential in his team so much that he decided to go for it. His hunch paid off because his team has now improved their team batting average and and slugging percentage 2 fold. They are averaging over 13 runs per game and hitting over .615 as a team after the two training sessions with Coach Huber. They now have a legitimate shot of what his vision and goals for the team are.
This is how big time coaches think and most coaches who think this way have to take chances like this and convince the team that they could get better even at the stage they were at before. A rare story for an unusually talented and mentally tough team deep in the city at Horner Park in Chicago.
About Mike Huber: Team Hitting Specialist and Confidence Trainer, Mike Huber, has traveled the country to help baseball teams improve their hitting skills at a record breaking pace. His special technique patterned after the swing of Ted Williams has helped teams set over 60 state, national, and/or team hitting records while training over 70 different teams since the late 1990s. He is the author of the book, Tapping Into the Spirit of Ted Williams. This book reveals the secret of this special technique and how Hubie used it to help Ted Williams son, John Henry Williams, hit successfully in the minor leagues prior to his death.
