
In sports, athletes get hurt all the time - but why is it the attention they get for their physical pain far outweighs any attention they might need for the emotional distress they experience? This is particularly interesting when you consider that the physical pain of an injury usually goes decreases relatively quickly, yet the mental anguish can go on for weeks, months, or even years.
