Milby High School broke our 13 game losing streak last night by defeating Houston Reagan 14-8. Our defense produced 8 turnovers, and turned away Reagan 5 different times from inside our 15 yd line.

My Running this week has taken a wild turn as of late. Tuesday was fine, but Thursday's morning run got postponed and then cancelled out. Basically, I was too busy with work, then with coaching, and my body was just telling me to flat-out rest from a crazy week. I'm come to certain points with my job where if I am really over-worked during the day, my workouts at night are not effective or fulfilling. We open the season tonight against Houston Reagan. Kids have worked hard this off-season and into the summer. Scored 3 TD's in our scrimmage and gave up 0 last week. We have lost 12 games in a row, it's time to get into the win column.

We start the 2nd week in pads today. Had a great first week, kids are going all out. Watched our first opponent scrimmage on Saturday, going scouting on Friday to watch opponents for week 2 and 3.
We scrimmage on Saturday at 9 am. Going ot be good to see kids against another team, see if we make the correct adjustments to their offense and defense.

Congratulations to Rachel Everett and her team mates on the 12&U (Silver) Bonita Valley Allstars in winning the 2009 NSA 12&U "B" Western National Championship. Rachel pitched in almost every game.
