CoachBook is meant to be a network for coaches to connect. We hope
that everyone will conduct business in such a manner that this site
remains a professional tool. With that in mind, here are some
general policies for using the site:
- CoachBook is for sport professionals. That means anyone who is
involved in sports in some manner and at any level--from the Pop
Warner and Little League coaches to professional coaches. CoachBook
is NOT designed for parents and teenagers. Anyone who joins
CoachBook for the purpose of contacting coaches in regards to
recruiting, social purposes, or to call in question the reputation
of any coach in any manner will be banned from the network
permanently with no warning.
- Any coach who has a concern about having a public profile can go
to their settings box and make their profile "private." In private
mode, the user's profile can only be viewed by those who are on the
user's friend list.
- Promotion of your business, products, or services is encouraged
on CoachBook. Please note that there is a big difference between
"promotion" and "spamming." Promotion, when done properly, takes
into account the personal side of networking. Spamming does not.
When promoting something, first try to build a personal
relationship with your target audience. If you have questions,
please read this article for more tips to building positive
relationships on this network:

- Coaches are not required to use their real name on CoachBook, but
they are encouraged to do so. If you are not comfortable with it,
use something like "Coach Vasko"--something that will set you
apart. User names on CoachBook are not exclusive, which is why we
have about 20 "Dan's!" You can go to your settings and change your
username at any time.
- Coaches are not required to upload a profile photo, but again,
doing so makes your profile more personal and more approachable. If
you are looking to develop relationships thru networking, a profile
photo is a must!
- Please refrain from using ALL CAPS in your entire post. All caps
in a title or header is fine, but it is difficult to read an entire
post written entirely in capital letters.
