I am the HC at Taylor High School in Pierson, FL. 30 miles west of Daytona, 50 miles north of Orlando...in the middle of nowhere. 500 kids in the HS....1/2 are female, leaves me 250 males to draw from. We're 46% Hispanic/Mexican...I might get 4-5 of those kids to play, but that cuts me to 125 kids to appeal to for football. Took over a team in April 07 that had been 2-8 in '06. We went 2-8 again on the varsity and 0-6 on the JV my first year trying to run Triple Option. Scored 70 points and had just over 1000 yards rushing. Changed offense and defense in the off season...went to a 3-5-3 defense and the Hugh Wyatt Double Wing/Double Tight this year.....6 inch splits and ran the crap out of power. Doubled our offensive production to almost 2000 yds, scored 196 points, improved the varsity to 3-7 including a 37-0 victory in our last game vs a team that had beaten us 23-16 the previous year and went 2-4 on the JV. I'm sold on DW/DT. Not sure if what I'm running fits here, but I'm in.

Just had a coach come in and take over a team here in Idaho. Broke a 23 game losing streak, went 10 and 0 taking the Idaho State 4A Championship. Amazing stuff.
