Coach Jeffrey,

My advice would be to stick to what you know.  For example, the coaching staff that I have been a part of for the last 6 years all come from an 11 man background.  We therefore approach the 8-man game with an 11-man mentality.  We have modified 11-man sets and plays like the single wing and the triple option to fit the 8-man game.  This past season we implemented a version of the spread option and are looking at maybe adding some shotgun triple option.  There are also some decent resources like and that you can look at.  Hope this helps. God bless!

Won the NMAA 8-man state football title on Saturday November 19. Defeated the three time defending state champs 40-32. Sure feels good to be the champs!!!!

We took a lot of what we run from Heritage Hall out of Oklahoma. Currently, we're running trap, sweep and option out of the I, wing back, and split back formations. Working on installing some spread and spread option elements. Any suggestions?

I coached 8-man Football in Oklahoma for 7 years.  Won a State Championship my last year their.  Be glad to answer any questions.

I ran an I formation using the Triple Option as our primary offense.  Mixed in some traps, sweeps, boots like Wing-T teams run.

We ran a 3-2 as our primary defense.
