How do I Change My Username, Login Password, or E-mail Address?

From your main profile page, click "settings" in the top right hand box of the page.
- Click on "change" for your email address or username
- Once you have changed your email, click "save" to retain your changes.

How Can I Add More Things to My Page - Like Videos, Links or a Picture?

On your profile page ("My Profile") you'll see a box beneath your profile questions labeled "Text Box". It's in this box that you can add almost anything you like - pictures, videos, links to other sites, etc.

Click the "edit" button to the far right of the box and add whatever elements you like.

Adding Pictures: You'll see a series of icons just above the text entry box that look like this:

Add pictures to blog

Click the picture icon (circled in red) and you can choose to either upload a picture from your PC or paste the URL of picture you've already uploaded.

Adding Links: You'll see a series of icons just above the text entry box that look like this:

Add links to forum

Click the link icon (circled in red) and a box will pop up asking you to enter the address (URL) of the page or site you want to link to. The link code will now be added to your post and the mouse cursor will be flashing between the two arrows like this:

Copy link to blog

Just add some text between the arrows - whatever you want the link to say i.e. "Click here" or "Here's my favorite coaching website". Whatever you type here will be the link text that appears underlined in blue.

How to Add a Link to an Image to Make it "Clickable"

Any image that you add to your text box can be made clickable, meaning you can add a link so that when a user clicks on the image, it takes them to an outside website.  After uploading your image following the instructions above, use your cursor to highlight the code for that particular image.  Then click on the link button as described in "adding links" above.  You will now have a hyperlinked image!

Adding Videos: You can add a video from YouTube or any video sharing site. Simply go to YouTube for example and find the video you want. To the right you'll see a box with some embed code in it. Copy and paste this into your Text Box and presto... the video will appear!

There are a lot of great things you can do in the "text box" on your profile page. For example:

***Add your bio directly to your profile. Check out this tutorial for ways to change the color, size, and font style of your text to make your profile stand out: Tutorial on Changing Text

***If you use the code below for posting a website hyperlink in your profile page text box, when members click on the link, it will open in a new browser window instead of taking them away from your profile.  Remove the *asterisks and insert your website's URL to make the code work properly.

<*a target="blank" target="blank" target="blank" href="http://www.yourwebsite.com"
target="_blank"*>

***Post your resumes or any other documents by clicking on the "File Upload" button in your Profile text box.

***Add a "Widget." Widgets are applications which can do a variety of things. You can add widgets that allow you to play games or watch ESPN SportsCenter. Go to your favorite search engine and search for "widgets." Please note that some widgets will slow down the loading of your profile page.

How Do I Add Pictures to Comment Walls?

Change theme

Click the "Appearance" link and you'll be presented with a list of different color schemes and styles to choose from.

PLEASE NOTE: Some default styles look better than others and a few aren't very user friendly (navigation links are obscured by background images). You can change or tweak the colors of
various elements (such as links for example) or add your own header graphic by using the Customizer:

Change theme

It's important that the Tabs (Home - My Page - Pictures - Forums etc.) at the top of the page are clearly visible. For example, if you upload your own header graphic and it's the same color as the links, these tabs won't show up.

What if I Want to Leave CoachBook?

You can override these default settings for individual pictures - so for example, if you set all pictures to by visible to "anyone" you can set an individual picture (by clicking on it in "My Photos") to be
visible only to you or your friends.

PLEASE NOTE: If you set a picture(s) to be private (i.e. so only you can view them), they will still show up in the "pictures galley" but only for you. In other words, although you can see
them in the main picture gallery, other members cannot.

Can I Review and Approve Comments Before They Appear Next to My Pictures and Article Entries?

Yes--This is done from the "Privacy" link under "Settings" - see the question above for details.

You can also remove them as a friend from here too.

How Do I Turn Off E-mail Notifications?

Click "E-mail" from the list on the left hand side. You can now check or uncheck the boxes according to what e-mail alerts you do and don't want to receive. If you don't want to receive ANY e-mail, check the box at the very bottom.

Please note: This won't prevent you from receiving from the site administrator. You will still receive periodic emails from the CoachBook staff regarding site updates and upgrades.

How do I Follow or Un-Follow Material on CoachBook?

Anytime you join a group, or comment on a blog post or forum discussion, you can receive emails anytime someone else posts as well.  The Follow button will automatically allow you to receive emails anytime there is activity in a group or on a blog or forum post.  Please note--anytime you join a new group, you are automatically following that group and will receive emails.  Please click "Stop Following" to remove yourself from the email list.

How Do I Set Up a Group and Why Would I Want to?

Setting up a group is very easy. Simply go to the Groups tab and click "Create a Group." You can then choose various settings for your group such as who can join, whether you want a forum and/or comment wall and so on.

What might be less obvious is why you would want to start a group .... Group e-mail. You can choose to restrict access for emailing all group members to just yourself and other chosen group admins .... or you
can quickly create a group mailing list by enabling all members to be able to message your group's members. This is great for organizations and special interest groups.

A group simply links people together - people who have the same special interest for example, or people who live in the same area. For example, you might want to start a group for people that are interested
in the Wing T offense. You can then set up your own forum to discuss that
topic.
